You'll find him

 

I wish you never had to experience the heartbreak of someone not feeling the same way as you do. That he would move heaven and earth to be there for you, the way you know you’d be for him. That you never had to go through the pain of questioning whether you’re good enough for someone.  Doubting yourself because you haven’t heard back from him, or gotten a response to a text you sent.

I wish you knew how special and rare you are, and that he was just a coward of a man who didn’t know how to handle or protect your heart in a way that truly honors you. And, in the end, he’s really doing you a favor, even though it hurts now.

Baby girl, you’re going to find someone who WILL be all of those things for you. He will be your best friend, your road trip partner. He will drive you mad, but love you like no one else on the planet. He will be your safety net, your safe place to land. You’ll have an unspoken language, between just the two of you. He’ll run to the store to pick up soup and 7up when you’re sick in bed and can’t move. He’ll be your shoulder to cry when you walk through the door after a long day at work and feel like you just don’t know what to do next, he’ll let you decompress, even if he does try to fix it, or give unsolicited advice at times. He’ll put God first and seek His wisdom for going after your heart and pursuing you.

He’ll be far from perfect, just as you are. He might not look anything like you’ve imagined, and it might not happen in some movie-magic style moment. But, it will be a special moment for the both of you, perfectly designed and coordinated by God, no matter how imperfect it may be in the days to come.

Hold onto your faith and keep living your life. You have dreams to fulfill and other people to meet, pour into and learn from. The time will come at the right time. Until then, enjoy life for what it is right now and know that it won’t always be like this. So hold onto the good, hold onto the people around you and prepare for the days ahead. Because there is so much to look forward to.
